Welcome
Let's face it...Life is tough. Especially these days with our economic situation. More and more people suffer from job loss and financial difficulties, extreme worry, depression and anxiety. Divorce rates are sky rocketing and many people have lost their sense of purpose. If you're not facing these challenges life still brings us stress, struggles with self esteem and physical, mental and emotional pressures on a daily basis.
Where does one turn for help? Maybe to a therapist or psychologist? Maybe a friend or family member. In my experience the best place to turn is to someone who "has been there done that". Someone that can give you concrete advice on fixing your situation because they've actually been in your shoes.
Therapists can give advice - but it's limited to their experience and is mostly based on putting you into a "niche". They also have limits on what they can do for you because they can't (legally) get emotionally involved with your situation. Most therapists I've known have never even dealt personally (in their own lives) with the issues people bring to them. How then, if they can't get "involved" and have never "been there" - how can they advise someone accurately?
